Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those who were ripped apart in body, mind and spirit by rape, incest or sexual abuse of any kind. Dear God of endless love, ever-present, ever-just, bring healing to these sisters and brothers who faced such breach of trust, shattering pain and needless shame. Soothe their hearts and show them the way to healing, justice and wholeness. May they forgive and experience Your liberating peace from the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, today we pray for those who are longing for a job. We pray that these brothers and sisters will have the grace to pray and seek Your will when they apply for new jobs. May they never lose hope when a rejection comes. May they have the will and the grace from You to try and try again without giving up. Provide them and their families with finances for their daily needs. Tell them every day what should be done with their time, their lives. Amen.

Lord Jesus, we bring to You those who have really reached the end of their tether. We pray for those of us who want to give up on our faith, church-going, family life, relationships, work, friendships, ministry and any other task entrusted to us. Lord Jesus, today we bring to Your presence – our pregnant wives, sisters, mothers and friends – and their spouses. We pray that each of these men and women are mightily anointed to become Godly Christian parents who know that the baby is growing in the mothers’ womb and the fathers’ hearts. We pray that their babies are blessed. May the men who are to provide care and love, do so, with Your special touch. Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, all Your children who are homemakers. Lord, they often do the unpaid, thankless service no one wants to do, and do it lifelong. We thank You for these wonderful women and men who choose their families and their needs before their own success and a successful career. We bless their work-worn hands, Jesus. A special prayer for the mums, dads and relatives and the administrators who have made our own homes and institutions true homes of selfless love. Amen.
