Today, we pray for those who have left the church

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have left the church, especially the ones who left because of our judgmental attitude, rifts, wounds and struggles within the church. Lord, we Christians ask your forgiveness that we have been at times like the Pharisees of Your times, turning people away with our self-righteousness. We pray that with the power and grace of God, all hurts are washed away by Your precious blood. May their children, not experience hatred and slander inside the church walls. Bind us all together with the eternal cords of Your love. Amen.

Today, we pray for all the busybodies and gossips

Lord Jesus, we surrender to you all the people who use their tongues to speak lies and cause discord. Lord, when gossip is being formulated and used, be the unbreakable shield who we rely on. We especially pray for those who tell tales and cause deep rifts; for everyone who meddles into our lives or has gossiped about us. A prayer for the society, community and family that we live in. Bless us all, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Today, we pray for those disappointed with God

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our disappointments with God, the Church and especially fellow Christians. The many tears, the countless unanswered prayers, the endless waiting for a miracle from heaven, the abuse we suffer from others – we surrender them all to You, Lord; not with anger, but with true submission and humility. We identify ourselves with Your apostles and Mother Mary, who waited and mourned before that glorious Pentecost. Lord Jesus, turn our worst disappointments into Your biggest miracles. Amen.

Today, we pray for homemakers

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, all Your children who are homemakers. Lord, they often do the unpaid, thankless service no one wants to do, and do it lifelong. We thank You for these wonderful women and men who choose their families and those needs before their own success and a probable career. We bless their work worn hands, Jesus. A special prayer for the mums and dads and relatives and administrators who have made our own homes and institutions true homes of selfless love. Amen.

Today, we pray for our siblings

Lord Jesus, on this day we bring to You our siblings – our own brothers and sisters and those we consider as siblings. We pray that every blessing may be theirs – good health, great family life, proper finances, lovely friendships and all that Your loving heart seems good, Jesus. Thank You Lord, for this indescribable gift of them. A special prayer for those among them who are still unsaved – those who do not believe in You. Amen.
