Lord Jesus, today we bring to Your presence our pregnant wives, sisters, mothers and friends. We pray that theirs wombs and babies are blessed. May the men who are to give them care and love, do so, with Your touch. Hold their babies and bless their men. May Your angels, Saint Anne and Mother Mary give them relief from their discomforts. Bless them with safe and happy confinement and smooth labour. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those who were ripped apart in body, mind and spirit by rape, incest or sexual abuse of any kind. Dear God of endless love, ever-present, ever-just, bring healing to these sisters and brothers who faced such breach of trust, shattering pain and needless shame. Soothe their hearts and show them the way to healing, justice and wholeness. May they forgive and experience Your liberating peace from the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those who are grieving – those struggling with mute pain and suffering due to irreparable loss. Jesus, only Your Holy Spirit can heal our grief – some affected by death, strife in relationships, illnesses and crisis situations. Come into our lives and be our peace and help us make peace, with Your Spirit, with our brethren and with our situations. Amen.
Lord Jesus, on this day we bring to You leaders of our churches, countries, organisations and homes. We pray that they are fine men and women who always listen to their conscience and have the guts to obey it, whatever may be the price. May Your Holy Spirit be with them every step of the way, building groups and people, not breaking them. Bring Your qualities of mercy, justice, humility and honesty into their daily lifestyles. Strengthen those of us who are called to be leaders. May we know how to follow too. May God’s favour be upon our leaders....
Lord Jesus, today we pray for the grace to be free from debt. Lord, help us honour You first with our money. Whatever we earn, let the first fruits be Yours. May our brothers and sisters who are facing loans, mortgages, crisis situations or loss of jobs – be helped in time, by Your angels. May we get back everything the devil has ever stolen from us.
