Today, we pray that we may live saintly lives

Lord Jesus, we surrender to You today our desire to become saints. We were created to worship and honour You with our lives. We consecrate ourselves to You in a special way today, O Christ the King and pray that we will live fulfilling lives that bring honour to Your name. May our homes, churches and workplaces be places which shape us into saintly people. Let us become role models for other Christians, in our love, dedication, purity, honesty, integrity, humility, joyfulness, holiness and simplicity. Amen.

Today, we pray for our soldiers

Lord Jesus, today, we pray that You will protect Your men and women in military service. We pray for truth, justice and human rights in the battle field. May our spouses, parents, brothers, sisters and friends who are risking their lives for our motherland, be blessed in a special way today. We pray for their spiritual walk, good health and longevity. May Your love sustain and encourage them through dark, anxious and lonely hours. We pray for the strengthening of their families and loved ones, facing daily challenges, while awaiting their return. Today, we pray for the silent helpers of Your ministry

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, Your silent supporters on this earth. Lord, bless and honour those who clean the pews, decorate the halls for worship, do secretarial work, wash the toilets and do odd jobs behind the scenes – the sound technicians, the volunteer staff, the drivers, families of ministers, the launderers, the babysitters and all those who faithfully and quietly support ministries with their time and money, for Your glory. A prayer for their families too. May their rewards come from You. And frequently remind each of us that each role comes from You, so respect all...

Today, we pray for those who are taking care of the sick

Lord Jesus, on this day we specially lift unto You those who are caring for the ill – doctors, nurses and full time carers. Jesus, may they see You in the ones they are treating. Let care not become a business, but the biggest channel of Your divine love. May Your mercy and grace shine through these people, may the sick see You and sense Your blessing, peace and touch from these carers, when the suffering gets unbearable. A special prayer that these jobs are never abused. Amen.

Today, we pray for hypocritical Christians

Lord Jesus, today we bring to the foot of Your cross, all those are putting up a show of piety. Lord, when You walked the earth, You hated hypocrisy and called it the yeast of the Pharisees. We pray that You cleanse Your church and its people, of any trace of power abuse, hypocrisy, deception and lies. Tear down the walls of evil. Make us know that the punishment for deceivers will be great from a God who abhors dishonesty. Let true repentance happen and let us not make a mockery of our faith. Amen.
