Today, we pray for a blessed Holy Week

Lord Jesus, today we thank You for Your immense love that took You to the cross and made You shed every last drop of Your blood for us. We pray that we honour Your love by keeping this week consecrated to You and holy. May we be broken completely and thus learn to love You and love our brethren – Your own – perfectly, today and for the rest of our lives. Fill our hearts and homes with Your kind of selfless love. Amen.

Today, we pray for our fathers

Lord Jesus, we pray that You bless all the fathers and our father figures in this world. Guide them to become good role models and the epitomes of Your love, integrity, dedication, honesty and hard work to their families. Help them to be a loving father like You are. Let them truly know that the greatest they can do for their own children is to love their mothers, the vulnerable in the family. Give them Your grace and patience to handle life Your loving way. Amen.

Today, we pray for animals, birds and other living things

Forgive us for the cutting down of trees, the carnage of wild life, the abuse of animals and birds and the poisoning of aquatic life. A special prayer for our pets, who bring us great joy and for our dear ones like our children and the elderly – who have lost their pets. May...

Today, we pray for those critically ill

Lord Jesus, we pray for those among us and our families and dear ones, who are now in a critical state. Only You, the Divine Healer, can give people the complete and instant healing for our spirits, souls and bodies. We pray that Your Spirit rouses the ill ones and comforts those who are in pain over them. May no one go away from Your presence, unhappy or suffering. Heal the sick, sweet Jesus. May our lives become great witnesses of Your healing touch. Amen.
