Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those among us who work for a living. The ones who hold jobs in all walks of life – men and women, old and young, rich and poor. We pray that all of us give hundred percent to our jobs and treat them as an opportunity to bring people close to You. May we glorify You, sweet Jesus, through our jobs and the work we do – at home and outside. Bless our chosen careers with Your anointing. Amen.

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our disappointments with God, the Church and especially fellow Christians. The many tears, the countless unanswered prayers, the endless waiting for a miracle from heaven, the abuse and rejection we suffer from others – we surrender them all to You, Lord; not with anger, but with true submission and humility. We identify ourselves with Your apostles and Mother Mary, who waited and mourned before that glorious Pentecost. Lord Jesus, turn our worst disappointments into Your biggest miracles. Amen.

Lord Jesus, today we pray for love – Your kind of gentle, giving, honest, consistent and sacrificial love to fill our hearts and lives. Thank You for Your love that surpasses all human understanding; the love which is food and medicine to our souls. Now help us pass it on, especially to our inner circle and those who need it the most. Let love not be manipulated or abused. A prayer for those whom we find hardest to love today. Amen.

Lord Jesus, God of love, we pray that Your peace comes into our world. Our world is torn by broken individuals, distant factions and fighting countries. We pray that Your touch heals each one of them. May the love that Your Holy Spirit gives cleanse individuals, faiths, groups. We specifically pray for the regions affected by war, communal rioting and terrorism. Let there be calm after all this storm and soon. God bless us all. Amen.
