Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have left the church, especially the ones who left because of our judgmental attitude, rifts, wounds and struggles within the church. Lord, we Christians ask your forgiveness that we have been at times like the Pharisees of Your times, turning people away with our self-righteousness. We pray that with the power and grace of God, all hurts are washed away by Your precious blood. May their children, not experience the hatred and slander. Bind us all together with the eternal cords of Your love. Amen.

அன்பார்ந்த சகோதர,சகோதரிகளே,நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இனிய நல்ல நாமத்தில் என் அன்பான நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள். நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு நமக்கு ஆயிரக்கணக்கில் வேதத்தின் மகத்துவங்களை [திருச்சட்டங்களை ] எழுதி கொடுத்திருந்தாலும் நாம் அவைகளை பற்றிக்கொள்ளாமல், அவைகள் நமக்கில்லை யாருக்கோ என்று அலட்சியப்படுத்தி விட்டு பிறகு துன்பங்களும், துயரங்களும் வரும்பொழுது மனம் சோர்ந்து போய்விடுகிறோம். ஓசேயா 8:12. ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு 40 நாள் இரவும், பகலும் நோன்பிருந்து பின் சாத்தானால் சோதிக்கப்படும்படி பாலை நிலத்திற்கு தூய ஆவியால் அழைத்துச்செல்லப்பட்டார் என்று மத்தேயு 4:1,2. ஆகிய வசனங்களில் வாசிக்கிறோம். அவருக்கே அந்த நிலை என்றால் நமக்கு எப்படி என்று இந்த தவக்காலத்தில் யோசிப்போம். நமக்காக பிறந்து வளர்ந்து நம்முடைய பாவங்களை சிலுவையில் சுமந்து பின்னர் அந்த சிலுவையிலே அடிக்கப்பட்டு, அந்த நேரத்திலும் நமக்காக பரிந்து பேசி, நமக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்கிறார். இந்த மகத்துவமான ஆண்டவரின் சிந்தனைகளை, அவர் மனவிருப்பத்தை நாம் அறிந்து அவர் விரும்பும் வழியில் நடந்து அவருக்கு மகிமை சேர்ப்பதே இந்த தவக்காலத்தின் சிறப்பாகும். ஏதோ கடனே என்று வாழாமல் வாழ்க்கையின்...

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our disappointments with God, the Church and especially fellow Christians. The many tears, the countless unanswered prayers, the endless waiting for a miracle from heaven, the abuse we suffer from others – we surrender them all to You, Lord; not with anger, but with true submission and humility. We identify ourselves with Your apostles and Mother Mary, who waited and mourned before that glorious resurrection Sunday. Lord Jesus, turn our worst disappointments into Your biggest miracles. Amen.
