கடவுளால் அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அவரால் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட, என்றும் நிலைக்கும் உரிமைப் பேற்றைப் பெறுவதற்கென்று கடவுள் நம்மோடு செய்துள்ள உடன்படிக்கையின் இரத்தம் நம்மை பாவத்திலிருந்தும், சாபத்திலிருந்தும் மீட்டுள்ளது. கூடாரத்தின் மீதும் வழிப்பாட்டுக்கலன்கள் அனைத்தின் மீதும் அவர் இரத்தத்தை தெளித்தார். உண்மையில் திருச்சட்டத்தின்படி ஏறக்குறைய எல்லாமே இரத்தத்தினால் தூய்மையாக்கப்படுகின்றன. இரத்தம் சிந்துதல் இன்றிப் பாவமன்னிப்பு இல்லை என்று எபிரெயர் 9:21,22 ஆகிய வசனங்களில் வாசிக்கிறோம். கிறிஸ்து தம்மையே ஒரே முறை பலியாக நமக்காக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார். நம்மை மீட்கும் பொருட்டே அவ்வாறு செய்தார். ஏனெனில் ஒரே மனிதனால் இந்த உலகில் பாவம் வந்ததுப்போல் அந்த பாவத்தை எல்லாம் நிவர்த்தி செய்யும் பொருட்டு உலகம் முடியும் காலமான இப்போது தம்மையே பலியாகக் கொடுத்து நம்முடைய பாவங்களைப் போக்குவதற்காக ஒரே முறை உலகில் வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டார். ஒரேமுறை நாமும் சாவுக்கு உட்படுகின்றோம். பின்னர் இறுதி தீர்ப்பு வருகிறது. இதுவே நமக்காக நியமித்த நியதி. ஆண்டவராகிய கிறிஸ்துவும் நம் எல்லோருடைய பாவங்களைப் போக்கும் பொருட்டு, ஒரேமுறை தம்மையே பலியாகக் கொடுத்தார். ஆனால் அவர் மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை தோன்றுவார். பாவத்தின் பொருட்டு அல்ல....

Lord Jesus, we pass people every day who need a demonstration of Your love – friends, family, strangers – both in and out of our inner circle. May we search for ways to show extravagant gestures of gracious love, and outlandish acts of kindness. Make us people who set a goal of doing daily deeds for which we cannot be repaid but in heaven. Set our hearts on fire for people who do not know You. Precious Savior, consume us with compassion for the desperate and downtrodden. Let us pour our lives out in Your kind of love. Amen.

விமலா தனக்கு வந்த விசாவை பார்த்தவுடன் மகிழ்ச்சியில் பெரிதும் மகிழ்ந்தாள். ஏனெனில் இன்னும் ஒரு வாரத்தில் அவள் லண்டன் போகப் போகிறாள். அதற்கான விசா வந்து விட்டது. இனி என் வாழ்வில் எல்லாம் சந்தோசமே என்று பயணத்துக்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை கவனிக்க ஆரம்பித்தாள். அதற்குமுன் இங்கு உள்ள எல்லா காரியங்களையும் ஒழுங்குபடுத்தவேண்டும் என்று அதற்கான யோசனையில் மூழ்கினாள். விமலா நன்கு படித்தவள். வாழ்க்கையை சந்தோஷமாக அனுபவிக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்புபவள். அவளின் பெற்றோர் எட்டு வருடங்கள் முன் அவளுக்கு ஒரு மாப்பிள்ளை பார்த்து திருமணம் நடத்தி வைத்தனர். நல்ல கணவர்.திருமணமான அடுத்த ஆண்டிலேயே அவளுக்கு ஒரு அழகான பெண் குழந்தை பிறந்தது. இபொழுது தனது குழந்தைக்கு ஏழு வயதாகிறது. ஆனால் குழந்தை சிறிது ஊனமுடன் இருப்பதால் மற்ற குழந்தைகள் போல் அதுவால் ஓடியாடி விளையாட முடியாது. போன வருஷம் தனது கணவர் ஒரு விபத்தில் இறந்து விட்டார். இதனால் மனது உடைந்துபோன விமலா மிகவும் கவலைக்குள்ளானாள். கணவனும் இல்லை. குழந்தையும் ஊனம் . அதனால் வாழ்க்கையே...
