True Love Allows Freedom
“He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him.” John 1:11
If you love someone you allow him or her the freedom that their spirit needs. It is only by setting someone free the bonds of mutual love may be strengthened.
The principle of generous love forms the basis of the Christian gospel. God allows you the freedom of choice to either believe in Him or reject Him. Christ does not want to compel you love Him. He invited you by grace to accept Him and associate with Him through a relationship of love.
If you accept His love and make His way of life your own, you will delightfully discover that your imperfect love reacts to His divine love. Such a love brings about freedom, joy and peace in your life.
