Today’s Promise : I will be your safe place in difficult times

Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble;
and he knows those who take refuge in him.
Promise #323: I will be your safe place in difficult times.
The NIV Bible says Nahum 1:7 this way… The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, (NIV) In Ecclesiastes it says that there is a season for all things, so there is no escaping the fact that we will all have difficult times in our life. Jesus reminded us in John 16:33 that though we will have trouble in this world, we can take heart, because He has overcome the world.
In today’s promise, we are reminded that because the Lord is good, and because He cares for those who trust in Him, He will be our refuge in times of trouble. He will be our stronghold, our safe place, our haven of rest in the midst of the storm.
My prayer today is that we would be comforted by this promise and take up residence in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91) so that He might be our refuge in times of trouble.
