The Gracious Gift of Prayer
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” :: Colossians 4:2
What value do you place on prayer? Do you regard it as a wonderful gift of grace from God, or as an unbearable burden?
The privilege of prayer is a special gift from God to us. It is God’s personal invitation to you to enter into His sanctuary, to talk to Him and listen when he has something to say to you.
Prayer is a discipline that requires preparation and practice. Make time to come quietly into the presence of God. Focus your attention on Jesus. Listen and speak to God and thank Him for the gracious gift of His love for you. That will enable you to live in an atmosphere of peace and trust.
