Lord Jesus, on this day we pray that many created by You, for Your glory, will come forward to serve You. Lord, You told us that the harvest is plenty and the workers are few. Use us in any and every way You want to. We pray for committed preachers, musicians and other lay ministers to be raised up for Your work. Let them be loving, honest and sincere servants who put You and You alone first in their lives. Remove all the hindrances to our ministry. Amen.

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, the Fountain of all Holiness – a desire for our purification. Cleanse us of all iniquity; keep our souls holy, our minds clean and our bodies chaste. When evil tries to taunt and entice us with sin, keep us protected. Let today be the beginning of our sanctification. Create in us clean hearts and seal our senses with Your Precious Blood. May we be ready to receive You, the babe in the manger, all over again, with all the true honour You deserve. Amen.

Lord Jesus, we pray today for Your children who are unhappy with the vocations they have chosen or been made to chose for their lives. May we be able to pray fervently and re-asses our choices – career, religious life, family status and singlehood. We desire to glorify Your purpose and perfect will in our lives, Jesus. So help us have the courage to make bold changes or major corrections if required, before its too late. May it really be a calling and not something to merely do with our lives. Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the oldest members of our families and society. We pray that Your presence comforts them in their loneliness. Keep them focused on You, rather than on their aches and anxieties. We pray specially for those who are living alone. Watch over our parents and grandparents, Oh Jesus. May they have angels for their aid whenever they are alone. Help us serve them well, all their lives. Amen.

Lord Jesus, today we bring to your our sins that took You to the cross. The disloyalty, anger, greed, unforgiving nature, arrogance, our harsh behaviour, bitter words, greed, neglect of family and friends, unwillingness to help our brethren, alcoholism, lying, cheating, gossip, abortion, wrong relationships, adultery and sexual sins, addictive sins and everything else that You alone are fully aware of. Lord, only Your Holy Spirit can heal us and make us new creations. We humbly kneel at the foot of Your rugged cross this day and plead Your blood of forgiveness over ourselves and our own. Amen.
