Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the wounded, from all over the world, especially the ones who trudge into our retreat centre, for a revival of their lives. We pray for healing that is complete – spiritual, physical and emotional. We pray that Your love seeps through their spirits, souls and bodies, removing every hurt inflicted by people. May they walk into Your arms and walk boldly in Your light hereafter, holding Your hand forever. Amen.
Lord Jesus, we pray for those among us and our families and dear ones, who are now really ill. Only You, the Divine Healer, can give people the complete healing for our spirits, souls and bodies. We pray that Your Spirit comforts those who are in pain. May no one go away from Your presence, unhappy or suffering. Heal us, sweet Jesus. May our lives become great witnesses of Your healing touch. Amen.
Lord Jesus, You gave Yourself to us, only out of love. We pray that the human race is truly grateful for You, the Son of the Living God and give Your name the honour it deserves. Have mercy and convict the ones who commit sins against Your Holy Name. Forgive blasphemies against Your name. May each one of us utter ‘Jesus’ with the awe that You deserve and not in vain. Teach us to truly adore and rejoice in the power of our only Saviour’s name – the name that angels bow down to. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have left the church, especially the ones who left because of our judgmental attitude, rifts, wounds and struggles within the church. Lord, we Christians ask your forgiveness that we have been at times like the Pharisees of Your times, turning people away with our self-righteousness. We pray that with the power and grace of God, all hurts are washed away by Your precious blood. May their children, not experience the hatred and slander. Bind us all together with the eternal cords of Your love. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the hypnotic attachment the world today has to television-watching. We pray especially for homes where even family prayer has been replaced by incessant sitcom-watching. May the attention of our young not be captured or corrupted by anything vulgar or offensive. Protect what we watch and wash it with Your Precious Blood. Our families should be spending time with You and with each other daily, rather than being cooped up in front of the TV. Give us the strong will and the grace for it, Lord Jesus. Amen.
