Lord Jesus, we surrender to you all the people who use their tongues to speak lies. Lord, when gossip is being formulated and used, be the unbreakable shield we rely on. We especially pray for those who tell tales and cause deep rifts; for everyone who meddles into our lives or has gossiped about us. A prayer for the society that we live in. Bless us all, Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those who are addicted to alcohol. Jesus, only You can heal these men and women who are caught in the web of intoxication. We pray that our youth especially, are protected from falling into this temptation. A special prayer for the spouses, parents and children of alcoholics. May our homes and organisations be places where individuals can celebrate without drinking. Heal the addicts. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You everything that we count as loss in our lives today. Lord, we chose to forgive ourselves and the ones who destroyed our visions – with hatred, lies or gossip. The failed interview, the broken home, the lost relationship, the thwarted plans, the insulted friendship, the shattered dreams, the destroyed ministry and many more. Lord, when You breathe life into our losses, they become precious gains once again. Help us recognise and thank You sincerely for that. Grief, stress, family problems, work issues, sinful bondage, abuse and financial crisis – only You can deliver us from these, sweet Jesus. May Your power flow into these areas, bringing healing, comfort and joy. We pray for redemption. We pray for timely angels to be rushed to our side.
