Today, we pray for persecuted Christians

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are being tortured for their faith in You. Lord, let Your mercy and healing flow – into the prosecuted and the prosecutors. May the ones who harm us, know that to know You, is to speak about You. May Your name be glorified and spread across the world every second. A special prayer for the souls of those martyred for the Christian faith and for their families. May Thy church grow without bounds, Jesus. Amen.

Today, we pray for an Easter experience

Lord Jesus, today as we mark Your triumphant resurrection, we pray for an Easter experience, in our own lives. Let there be a resurrection in our faith, ministry and our family life, our value system, our education and career, our relationship with God and men. Jesus who won victory for us on the cross, help us with a powerful anointing of Your Holy Spirit, to fulfil that Easter experience in our own lives. Amen.

Today, we pray for a blessed Holy Week

Lord Jesus, today we thank You for Your immense love that took You to the cross and made You shed every last drop of Your blood for us. We pray that we honour Your love by keeping this week consecrated to You and holy. May we be broken completely and thus learn to love You and love our brethren – Your own – perfectly, today and for the rest of our lives. Amen.

Today, we pray for unknown angels in our lives

Lord Jesus, today we pray for those we bump into in our daily lives – people who we don’t know, but who are timely angels in disguise. The unknown faces – priests and prayer partners who have lifted us up, fellow travellers, shopkeepers, friends of friends and members of our families and communities we may have never met, but have helped improve our lives. Bless each one of them and their own mightily today, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Today, we pray for orphans

Lord Jesus, today we pray for those who live on this earth with no one to call their own. May Your love surround them and make them feel wanted, instead of rejected. Lord, bless the old and the young who long for a family. We pray that homes will be opened to young ones who are seeking adoptive parents. May all of us human beings truly become one family – with members accountable to and for one another. Amen.
