Today, we pray for the mentally ill

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are mentally unstable. Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name we pray that they will be delivered and saved from destruction. Let schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, fear, psychosis, neurosis, depression and all kinds of mental illness be routed from our families and communities. Let them never harm themselves or others. May we not judge but only support, in whatever way we can. Let them be set free forever from all emotional bondages, forever. Amen.

Today, we pray for those seriously ill

Lord Jesus, we pray for those among us who are now really ill. Only You, the Divine Healer, can give us the complete healing for our spirits, souls and bodies. We pray that Your Spirit comforts those who are in pain. May no one go away from Your presence, unhappy or suffering. Heal us, sweet Jesus. May our lives become great witnesses to Your touch. Amen.

Today, we pray for our loved ones who have died

Lord Jesus, today we say a prayer for the souls and memories of our beloveds who are dead. Assure us that their souls are in Your light. Let every unfulfilled dream and ache of theirs be dealt with here on earth. Lord, hug and comfort all those who are grieving right now; the ones left behind. May they feel You, Your love. Let Your angels on earth fill the roles the dead cannot fill anymore. We pray that all will be well, until we meet again in Your presence. Amen.

Today, we pray for greater respect towards Mary, our mother

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, Your children who do not give adequate love and respect to Your mother. Lord, show the world how precious she and the saints are in Your sight. May every word that is said against Mama Mary be washed in the blood of You, her son. May her children realise the folly of their ways and come back to the love of the Holy Family, this Adevnt season. Amen.

Today, we pray for the hungry

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those among us who are hungering for a square meal. Lord, do not judge our cruel world where the wealthy are enjoying the best of luxuries while millions are starving. We also surrender our hunger for love, care and fellowship. We especially submit the vulnerable – the old, the children and the lonely, who do not have anyone to offer them anything and have to fend for themselves daily. May those who hunger be filled, by You and by Your creations who live Your love. Amen.
