Lord Jesus, You gave us Yourself in the Eucharist. We pray that the human race is truly grateful for it. Have mercy and convict the ones who commit sins against the Eucharist. May each one of us receive it with the awe that it deserves and more. Teach us to truly adore and rejoice in this beautiful expression of Your love. Thank You and love You, Lord Jesus. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the wounded, from all over the world, especially the ones who trudge into our retreat centre, for a revival of their lives. We pray for healing that is complete – spiritual, physical and emotional. We pray that Your love seeps through their spirits, souls and bodies, removing every hurt inflicted by people. May they walk into Your arms and walk boldly along hereafter, holding Your hand forever. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those who are addicted to alcohol. Jesus, only You can heal these men and women who are caught in the web of intoxication. We pray that our youth especially, are protected from falling into this temptation. A special prayer for the spouses, parents and children of alcoholics. May our homes and organisations be places where individuals can celebrate without drinking. Heal the addicts. Amen.
Lord Jesus, on this Memorial Day, we pray that You preserve Your men and women in military service. We pray for truth, justice and human rights in the battle field. May our spouses, parents, brothers, sisters and friends who are risking their lives for our motherland, be blessed in a special way today. We pray for their spiritual walk, good health and longevity. May Your love sustain and encourage them through dark, anxious and lonely hours. We pray for the strengthening of their families and loved ones, facing daily challenges, while awaiting their return. Lord Jesus, human relationships are the soul of Your church on earth. We pray today that Your Holy Spirit will come into our hearts and help us build, not break – homes, churches, organisations, friendships and bonds within the family, society and Christian fellowship. We pray we wont be manipulated by the devil, destroying relationships. Open our eyes that we may see that loving our brethren comes right after loving You. Let Your healing flow into every relationship in our lives. Amen.
