Today, we pray for the gift of gratitude

Lord Jesus, You have given us so much, we pray today as we begin a new year, for the gift of gratitude. Thank you, Father, for having created us and given us families. Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives. Thank you for friends, for health and for grace, for unknown blessings on their way. For food, water and clean air. May we live every day conscious of all that has...

Today, we pray for the children

Lord Jesus, You told us to become like little children. We are today raising children who are forced to grow up much before their time. We bring to You our little ones who are battling stress, loneliness, fear, anxiety and even depression at such a young age. We pray that You will tell us how to raise them as good Christians – fine men and women – who would die for Your calling. Amen.

Today, we pray for those seeking career breakthroughs

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those among us who are hoping and praying for career breakthroughs – that new job, the much-deserved promotion, the desired transfer and the pay rise. We pray for the ones who are facing crises in their jobs and struggles because of those in their families. Lord, let Your healing and answers come and soon. Let each cross at the workplace bring people closer to You. Amen.

Today, we pray over dead relationships

Lord Jesus, human relationships form the soul of Your church on earth. We pray today that Your Holy Spirit will come into our hearts and help us build, not break – homes, churches, organisations, friendships and bonds within the family. Let us not sin by letting the devil destroy relationships with each other. Open our eyes that we may see – that loving our brethren comes right after loving You. Let Your healing love flow into every relationship in our lives. Amen.

Today, we pray for our enemies

Lord Jesus, You taught us a valuable lesson about loving those who hate us. We now pray for each person whom we have harmed and who has harmed us in any way. Sweet Jesus, let Your healing and love flow. We surrender every human being who has wounded us, or been wounded by us – in thoughts, words or deeds. Let peace be established. May Your children stop hurting each other. Give us the precious gift of forgiveness. Bless each one of our enemies mightily today. Amen.
