Quality of Mary

Belief
Mary was a virgin and was engaged to Joseph. By this time God sends His angel to her and informs that she would conceive in her womb and bear a son. Mary was confused since she was a virgin (Luke 1:34). She might have thought what Joseph or her relatives would think of her. But when she understood that it was the word of God, she did not think of her situation, she did not think what would be Joseph’s reaction. She just believed the word of God (Luke 1:38).

Humble
Once Mary believed, she humbled herself for The Lord to act (Luke 1:38).Mary knew that nothing is impossible with God. Mary had a firm faith upon God and that’s why she did not hesitate.

Praise
Mary meets Elizabeth and Elizabeth prophecies about the child. Once Mary hears the word of Elizabeth she rejoices and glorifies God (Luke 1:46-55).

Mary has to face everyone; People may talk bad about her; There are chances for Joseph to stop the wedding; but in the midst of this situation Mary‘s trust was on the Lord. She did not think of all the negative things.

We too face lot of difficulty in our life. In the midst of that do we trust the word of our Lord? Do we believe that He is with us? Do we humble ourselves for the Lord to act in our life? Do we praise in our difficulties.

Let us Believe, Humble and Praise like Mary and forget the depressing things of our life. Because our Lord is able; 2 Corinthians 9:8
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.” (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
