Our God and Father is good and His mercy will go on forever and ever. The more that you and I are convinced of the goodness of God, the more we will yield to the extravagant love that He showers on us every day.
The enemy of our soul would try to depict God as a distant, angry, religious, and wrathful judge just waiting for us to make a mistake. That is the furthest thing from the truth, for God is the ultimate expression of love itself. At the very core of our Heavenly Father’s heart is a goodness that none of us have experienced this side of heaven. That is why it is so hard for some of us to believe that God’s love is really real.
My prayer today is that the Holy Spirit would give all of us a deeper revelation of His goodness so that we could shout out along with the psalmist in today’s promise and say… For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. (ESV)
