Today, we pray for those lukewarm in their faith

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have a lukewarm relationship with You and Your people. Lord, You said that those who are neither hot nor cold would be spat out. We pray that we really begin to live out our Christian faith with love, passion, freedom and grace. May we also never become blind followers of the blind, but exercise Your wisdom and caution, when facing challenges in our faith walk. Bring Your Spirit alive in us – every day – like we have had a fresh anointing from Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Today, we pray for animals

Lord Jesus, on this day we pray for animals, birds and other living creatures that You created to give us support and pleasure. We pray that these are protected and not abused. Forgive us Lord for the way we have hurt the living things around the world. A special prayer for our pets, who bring us great joy. May us human beings learn to respect and love life – any creature that You created. Amen.

Today, we pray for the wounded

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the wounded, from all over the world, especially the ones who trudge into our retreat centre, for a revival of their lives. We pray for healing that is complete – physically and emotionally. We pray that Your love seeps through their spirits, souls and bodies, removing every hurt inflicted by people. May they walk into Your arms and walk boldly along hereafter, holding Your hand forever. Amen.

Today, we pray for everyone who has asked for prayers

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You people who have requested our prayer support. The friend, the member of the family, the acquaintance, the colleague, the neighbour and the stranger – we bring them all to the foot of Your cross today, seeking that Your mighty Holy Spirit will touch them, heal their hearts and refresh their spirits. Lord, sometimes we promise, yet we forget to pray. May each promise turn into a prayer right then, before Your eyes. Meet their needs today, Jesus. May no prayer return unanswered. Bless them and their own. Thank You for giving us an...

Today, we pray for those hurt through misunderstandings

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You just pain – pain for the times we have been unfairly judged or misunderstood. Lord, take the pain and give Your peace in return. We chose to forgive; help us make it a daily, fervent decision. May we believers learn to recognise the devil’s tactics to plant discord, confusion and strife. May Your love penetrate into our very souls and heal us. Heal all our relationships by Your Precious Blood. Amen.
