Lord Jesus, You gave us the gift of parents. There are so many children who do not see their parents as a gift, but rather as a burden. Our parents have given their whole lives and made a lot of sacrifices for us, their children. But today they feel unwanted and left out. We offer their pain unto You. Have mercy on them. May children one day realise their mistake and learn to love and care for their parents who completely deserve their love. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we pray for those among us caught up in helpless situations. Grief, loneliness, stress, family problems, work issues, sinful bondage, abuse and financial crisis – only You can deliver us from these, sweet Jesus. May Your power flow into these areas and more, bringing healing, comfort and joy. We pray for redemption. We pray for timely angels to be rushed to our side. More than anything, let us have the assurance and the peace from Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
Lord Jesus, we pray today for Your children who are unhappy with the vocations they have chosen or been made to chose for their lives. May we be able to pray fervently and reassess our choices – career, religious life, family status and singlehood. We desire to glorify Your purpose and perfect will in our lives, Jesus. Lord Jesus, You created the Catholic and apostolic church to help us worship You unceasingly and with passion, holding fast to our traditions. We ask Your forgiveness for the divisions we have caused to Your body. A special prayer for the ones who have caused the rifts – the dead and the alive. Some of us have already left the fold and many others are dangling. Bring them back Jesus – only You can do that. Help us all come back, in unity and with fervour to one home church, Lord Jesus.
