Today, we pray for the poor

Lord Jesus, today we pray for the ones who are struggling for a square meal. Let the rich share their supplies with the poor. May every human have food on the table and money for their needs. A special prayer for the hungry mouths of the world this day, this moment. Give us all our daily bread, Lord. Amen.

Today, we pray for everyone who has asked for prayers

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You people who have requested our prayer support. The friend, the member of the family, the acquaintance, the colleague, the neighbour and the stranger – we bring them all to the foot of Y our cross today, seeking that Your mighty Holy Spirit will touch them, heal their hearts and refresh their spirits. Answer their needs today, whatever they may be, Oh Jesus. May no prayer return unanswered. Bless them and their own. Thank You for giving us an opportunity to intercede for them. Amen.

Today, we pray for inner healing

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our wounds. O God who healed every wounded and ill that came to You, have mercy on us all. May Your love that surpasses all human understanding fill us, cleanse us and strengthen us. Remove from each one of us any deep inner wounds which we got right from the time we were conceived, up to this day. Remove all memories of harsh, unfair words spoken and deeds done against us. We pray that we can forgive and forget, and help heal the ones we have wounded too. Amen.

Today, we pray for our purification

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, the Fountain of all Holiness – a desire for our purification. Cleanse us of all iniquity; keep our souls holy, our minds clean and our bodies chaste. When evil tries to taunt and entice us with sin, keep us protected. Let today be the beginning of our sanctification. Create in us clean hearts and seal our senses with Your Precious Blood. May we be ready to receive You, the babe in the manger, all over again, with all the true honour You deserve. Amen.

Today, we pray for the silent helpers of Your Ministry

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, Your silent supporters on this earth. Lord, bless and honour those who clean the pews, decorate the halls for worship, do secretarial work, wash the toilets and do odd jobs behind the scenes – the sound technicians, the volunteer staff, the drivers, the launderers, the babysitters and all those who faithfully and quietly support ministries with their time and money, for Your glory. A prayer for their families too. May their rewards come from You. And frequently remind each of us that each role comes from You, so respect all jobs, all brethren....
