Lord Jesus, we pray for those among us who have faced emotional, sexual or physical abuse. Children who have been tortured, women who have had their dignity stripped off and men who have been insulted. When our brethren suffer, Lord, surround them with Your angels. May Your love bring total and permanent healing – the kind that only Your Holy Spirit can give us. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have a lukewarm relationship with You and the church. Lord, You said that those who are neither hot nor cold would be spat out. We pray that we really begin to live out our Christian faith with love, passion, freedom and grace. May we also never become blind followers of the blind, but exercise Your wisdom and caution, when facing challenges in our faith walk. Bring Your Spirit alive in us – every day – like a fresh anointing. Amen.

Lord Jesus, on this day we specially lift unto You all who have lost their married partners, across the world. Lord, the loss of one’s beloved is one of the most painful experiences of life. We ask You to look kindly on all widows and widowers. As they struggle through loneliness, keep them in the embrace of Your mercy. Keep them always protected and never let their emotions be abused. For those who are still not able to overcome the shock of having lost their beloved, we pray that Your hands of healing might be upon their torn hearts. Amen.
Lord Jesus, we pray for missionaries all over the world. Lord, we consecrate each one of them and their families and friends to Your Sacred Heart. We pray in particular for those stuck in faraway lands, surrounded by hostile forces. When troubles and turmoils come, be their strength. Give all of Your missionary servants the humility, simplicity, grace, honesty, dedication and most importantly, Your kind of love – that live up to their calling. Amen.
