Today, we pray for persecuted Christians

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are being tortured for their faith in You. Lord, let Your mercy and healing flow – into the prosecuted and the prosecutors. May the ones who harm us, know that to know You, is to love, serve and speak about You. May Your name be glorified and spread across the world every second. A special prayer for the souls of those martyred for Christian faith and for their families. May Thy church grow without bounds, Jesus. Amen.

Today, we pray for freedom

Lord Jesus, You died to set us free. Thank You, for every drop of Your Precious Blood that paid the price for us to be free. May we truly be set free today – from sin, sickness, evil, religious legalism, abuse and anything that shackles us. Let us remember that freedom to us is freedom in Christ and relative to the love and respect we give others. A special prayer for India and Pakistan – for the men and women who fight to keep our countries free. Amen.

Today, we pray for the lonely

Lord Jesus, loneliness if the first thing that Your eyes seemed as not right. We pray for those among us who are living alone in this world – the singles, the married singles, the aged, the ostracised. We pray that Your presence will surround us when we are at our loneliest point. We pray that You provide us with the right partners to be Your loving touch and voice. Amen.

Today, we pray for the judged

Lord Jesus, we bring to Your cross those who are judged the harshest by each one of us, the Pharisees of today. The teen with the tattoo, the intruding relative, the sulky colleague, the temperamental boss, the whining elder, the insensitive partner, the friend who wounded, the alcoholic neighbour, the gossipy stranger and many more faces we meet daily…may we see them as You see them, holy and perfect creations in an imperfect world. Let us not judge, lest we be judged by You. Forgive and heal us, each time before we even think of lifting our fingers to point...

Today, we pray for those lukewarm in their faith

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have a lukewarm relationship with You and people. Lord, You said that those who are neither hot nor cold would be spat out. We pray that we really begin to live out our Christian faith with love, passion, freedom and grace. May we also never become blind followers of the blind, but exercise Your wisdom and caution, when facing challenges in our faith walk. Bring Your Spirit alive in us – every day – give us a fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
