Today, we pray for those facing intense trials

Lord Jesus, our Saviour, we need You now as we are struggling in the crucible of suffering. Lord, touch and bless each of us who are being tested through loss of people, loss of material things, illnesses, family problems, bondages, calamities, crisis situations, financial crunch, loneliness, loss of jobs, stress or fear. We wash all these away by the power of Your precious blood. May Your love bring us healing and peace, plus assurance, right now. Return everything we have lost, a million fold. Amen.

Today, we pray for the jobless

Lord Jesus, today we pray for those who are longing for a job. We pray that these brothers and sisters will have the grace to pray and seek Your will when they apply for new jobs. May they never lose hope when a rejection comes. May they have the will and the grace from You to try and try again without giving up. Provide them and their families with finances for their daily needs. Tell them every day what should be done with their time, their lives. Amen.

Today, we pray for those lukewarm in their faith

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have a lukewarm relationship with You and Your people. Lord, You said that those who are neither hot nor cold would be spat out. We pray that we really begin to live out our Christian faith with love, passion, freedom and grace. May we also never become blind followers of the blind, but exercise Your wisdom and caution, when facing challenges in our faith walk. Bring Your Spirit alive in us – every day – give us a fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Today, we pray for the abused

Lord Jesus, we pray for those among us who have faced emotional, sexual or physical abuse. Children who have been tortured, women who have had their dignity stripped off and men who have been wounded. When our brethren suffer, Lord, surround them with Your angels. May Your love bring healing – the kind that only Your Holy Spirit can give us. Amen.

Today, we pray for the elderly

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the oldest members of our families and society. We pray that Your presence comforts them in their loneliness. Keep them focused on You, rather than on their aches and anxieties. We pray specially for those who are sick. Watch over our parents and grandparents, Oh Jesus. May they have angels for their aid whenever they are alone. Amen.
