Today, we pray for those about to give up
Lord Jesus, we bring to You those who have really reached the end of their tether. For those of us who want to give up on our faith, church-going, family life, relationships, work, friendships, ministry and any other love-task entrusted to us. We lift each one of us today to Your Presence in a special way, for that anointing and grace which only You can give. Send us angels to help us, Lord. When we face harsh judgement, loneliness, illness and rejection, let us know that its not from You, but from Your creations or the evil one. Help us...
Today, we pray for the silent helpers of Your Ministry
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, Your silent supporters earth. Lord, bless and honour those who clean the pews, decorate the halls for worship, do secretarial work, wash the toilets and do odd jobs behind the scenes – the sound technicians, the volunteer staff, the drivers, the launderers, the babysitters and all those who faithfully and quietly support ministries with their time and money, for Your glory. A prayer for their families too. May their rewards come from You. And frequently remind each of us that each role comes from You, so respect all jobs, all brethren. Amen.

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You Christians who have left Your fold by wilful choice. Lord, we pray for our dear ones who do not want to recognise You or worship You as God. We bring to You their doubts, anxieties, confusion and pain. We trust in Your mercy that they will be brought back and redeemed like pure silver. A prayer also for those of us who are standing by longingly and waiting for their return. Give all of us Your power, grace and strength. Amen.
