Today, we pray for struggling marriages

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who are struggling in our marriages. We pray that husbands and wives will truly and sincerely love, honour and cherish this special gift from You. Let forgiveness and humility take the place of resentment and ego. May homes be filled with the power and grace of God and may all hurts be washed away by Your precious blood. May their children experience Your healing touch too. Bind these couples together with the eternal cords of Your love. Amen.

Today, we pray for persecuted Christians

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are being tortured for their faith in You. Lord, let Your mercy and healing flow – into the prosecuted and the prosecutors. May the ones who harm us, know that to know You, is to speak about You. May Your name be glorified and spread across the world every second. A special prayer for the souls of those martyred for Christian faith and for their families. May Thy church grow without bounds, my Jesus. Amen.

Today, we pray for our loved ones who have died

Lord Jesus, today we say a prayer for the souls and memories of our beloveds who are dead. Assure us that their souls are in Your light. Let every unfulfilled dream and ache of theirs be dealt with here on earth. Lord, hug and comfort all those who are grieving right now; the ones left behind. May they feel You, Your love. Let Your angels on earth fill the roles the dead cannot fill anymore. We pray that all will be well, until we meet again in Your presence. Amen.

Today, we pray for those labelled bad

Lord Jesus, You are all about love, mercy and justice; and acceptance. When the world brands a person as a black sheep, please hold his or her hand. The moment when one of us is labelled something evil, may Your angels rush to our aid – to lift us up and to give us grace and courage. May we able to bear the insults better, knowing that the world did the same to You years ago. May we not judge either, lest we be judged ourselves. Heal us, Lord please. Help us forgive, like You did. Amen.

Today, we pray for the strangers we meet

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You those who we bump into during our daily walk. The men, women and children we do not know, but who are all opportunities You provide for us to share Your love. May each person we meet see Christ in us. May Your Holy Spirit radiate and touch the lives of everyone we meet. Touch and heal them all, Lord Jesus; and may the light in them – man, woman and child – heal our own weary souls too. Let us all be Angels of Light in a broken world. Amen.
