Lord Jesus, today we bring to you little children who are struggling to understand You and Your working in our tough, unfair world. We pray that our children are touched by Your Holy Spirit, so that they understand how to obey and honour You, even when life gives them tough knocks. Be with them every moment and send Your angels to aid them when they are in emotional, physical or spiritual danger. May they become real children of light. We give You complete control of our childrens’ lives right now, Lord Jesus. Claim them for Your own, forever and ever....

Lord Jesus, today we pray for those who live on this earth with no one to call their own. May Your love surround them and make them feel wanted, instead of rejected. Lord, bless the old and the young who long for a family. We pray that homes will be opened to young ones who are seeking adoptive parents. May all of us human beings truly become one family – with members accountable to and for one another. Amen.

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the ones who have left Your fold by wilful choice. Lord, we pray for our dear ones who do not want to recognise You or worship You as God. We bring to You their doubts, anxieties, confusion and pain. We trust in Your mercy that they will be brought back and redeemed like pure silver. A prayer also for those of us who are standing by longingly and waiting for their return. Give all of us Your power, grace and strength. Amen.

Lord Jesus, today we bring to Your presence our pregnant wives, sisters, mothers and friends – and their spouses. We pray that each of these men and women are mightily anointed to become Godly Christian parents. We pray that the fathers, the mothers’ wombs and their babies are blessed. May the men who are to provide care and love, do so, with Your special touch. May Your angels, Saint Anne and Mother Mary give the mothers-to-be relief from their discomforts. Bless the women with safe and happy confinement and smooth labour and the men with hands and hearts willing to...

Lord Jesus, on this day we bring to You leaders of our churches, countries, organisations and homes. We pray that they are fine men and women who always listen to their conscience and have the guts to obey it, whatever may be the price. May Your Holy Spirit be with them every step of the way, building groups and people, not breaking them. Bring Your qualities of mercy, justice, humility and honesty into their daily lifestyles. Strengthen those of us who are called to be leaders. May we know how to follow too. May God’s favour be upon our leaders....
