Today, we pray for the gift of gratitude

Lord Jesus, You have given us so much, on Thanksgiving Day, today, we pray for the gift of gratitude. Thank You, Father, for having created us and given us families. Thank You for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for Your comfort in our sadness, Your companionship in our loneliness. Thank You for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives. Thank You for friends, for health and for grace, for unknown blessings on their way. For food, water and clean air, blessings we take for granted. May we live every day conscious of all...

Today, we pray for those living in sexual sin

Lord Jesus, You taught us about love. But to some, love is manifested as lust. We pray for our brothers and sisters living in the bondage of sexual immorality, especially the ones who live it in secret and have no qualms about it. May they have the courage and integrity to recognise their folly and fight it, with Your grace. Pour forth Your Spirit on each one of us so that we may never fall into this evil. Protect our own and our children from being preys to this too. Amen

Today, we pray for those who weep for their children

Lord Jesus, we pray for all those parents weeping and praying for their beloved children. No parent would want to see their children go through physical, emotional or spiritual sicknesses. O Lord take into account the valuable tears of those parents who are praying for their children. May their tears be honoured by You. May their children get healed physically, emotionally and spiritually. Let us raise a generation that truly honours You and You alone first. Amen.

Today, we pray for the fight against terrorism

Lord Jesus, we pray for terrorism to end. May Your Holy Spirit touch the hearts and hands of men and women who have chosen terrorism as the way to win their battles. Lord, show them that no agenda that’s against love will ever win. We pray and bless the families and friends of the victims of terrorist attacks. Heal our world, sweet Jesus, with Your mighty touch of love. Amen.

Today, we pray that we can lead saintly lives

Lord Jesus, we surrender to You today our desire to become saints. We were created to worship and honour You with our lives. We consecrate ourselves to You in a special way today, O Christ the King and pray that we will live fulfilling lives that bring honour to Your name. May our homes, churches and workplaces be places which shape us into saintly people. Let us become role models for other Christians, in our love, purity, integrity, humility, joyfulness, holiness and simplicity. Amen.
