Today, we pray for those who hurt us through their words

Lord Jesus, there is no one who uses the power of words to heal as much as You do. We pray for Christians who inflict deep wounds with their tongue, without a care for others’ feelings. We pray that the ones who are at the receiving end can heal, forgive and forget too, by Your grace. May we become the kind of people who are gentle and loving in our speech. Let the anger, unforgiveness and hatred in us, the wounded, melt away when we are touched by You daily. Heal our tongues. Amen.

Today, we pray for our un-uttered longings

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You that one prayer which is dearest to our hearts. The silent one, the ache and the doubt that accompanies the wait for it to be answered. The one which we cannot share with anybody else in the world. Lord, sometimes we do not even know if its a right prayer in Your eyes. We are tired of the wait and the struggle. We pray that You will understand our silent prayer and honour the deepest desires of our hearts, if its in Your will. And make the wait end very soon. Amen.

Today, we pray for all the busybodies and gossips

Lord Jesus, we surrender to you all the people who use their tongues to speak lies. Lord, when gossip is being formulated and used, be the unbreakable shield we rely on. We especially pray for those who tell tales and cause deep rifts; for everyone who meddles into our lives or has gossiped about us. A prayer for the society that we live in. Bless. Amen.

Today, we pray for the helpless

Lord Jesus, today we pray for those among us caught up in helpless situations. Grief, criticisms, stress, family problems, illness, work issues, sinful bondage, abuse and financial crisis – only You can deliver us from these, sweet Jesus. May Your power flow into these areas and more, bringing healing, comfort and joy. We pray for redemption. We pray for angels to be rushed to our side. When those who promised support do not deliver it, be our comfort. More than anything, let us have the assurance and the peace from Your Holy Spirit. Thank you for always being there, Jesus....

Today, we pray for our best friends

Lord Jesus, today we thank You for the angels we call our best friends. Bless, sanctify, heal, and strengthen our friendships. We praise You and glorify You for their love and support – the friend in school, the one who shared secrets in college, the colleague who always lend an ear and the stranger who became the most integral part of our lives. May they never see distress, but always be Your witnesses of love, peace and joy. Bless my best friend, Lord. Amen.
