Today, we pray for greater love for the Eucharist

Lord Jesus, You gave us Yourself today in the Eucharist. We pray that the human race is truly grateful for it. Have mercy and convict the ones who commit sins against the Eucharist. May each one of us receive it with the awe that it deserves and more. Teach us to truly adore and rejoice in this beautiful expression of Your love. Amen.

Today, we pray for new Christians

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our dear ones who have come newly into the Christian faith. Lord, guide and strengthen them with Your power each step of the way. Help us to truly walk the walk, so that we can be ideal, sincere and honest role models to them. We pray that these brothers and sisters are never so discouraged that they lose hope completely. Bless them and take us all under Your wing. Amen.

Today, we pray for widows, orphans and single parent families

Lord Jesus, today we pray for some of the ignored in our society – the widows, widowers, orphans and single parents. We pray that You will be the absent spouse, mother and father for them all. May Your love surround them when they are at their lowest. May Your Holy Spirit give them inner strength, courage and joy. May angels be at their service when they need them. Bless the weakest mightily, Lord. Bring the right kind of friends and family into their lives. Forgive and heal the ones who reject them and cause them suffering. Amen.

Today, we pray for those being tested

Lord Jesus, our Saviour, we need You now as we are struggling in the crucible of suffering. Lord, touch and bless each of us who are being tested through loss, illness, family problems, bondages, calamities, crisis situations, financial crunch, stress or fear. We wash all these away by the power of Your precious blood. May Your love bring us healing and peace, plus assurance, right now. Amen.
