Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who are struggling in our marriages. We pray that husbands and wives will truly and sincerely love, honour and cherish this special gift from You. May homes be filled with the power and grace of God and may any hurts be washed away by Your precious blood. May their children experience Your healing touch too. Bind these couples together with the eternal cords of Your love. Amen.
Lord Jesus, we pray for all those parents weeping and praying for their beloved children. No parent would want to see their children go through physical, emotional or spiritual sicknesses. O Lord take into account the valuable tears of those parents who are praying for their children. May their tears be honoured by You. May their children get healed physically, emotionally and spiritually. Amen.
Hold me close, loving presence, Be with me through the night hours; Be with me through the day. Hold thou my hand; Guide thou my feet; Comfort thou my heart. Fill me with new resolve and a knowing all is well. I trust myself, my life, my hopes, my dreams, my future, to your care. Where I am, You are. In my need, You answer me. In my joy, You smile upon me. When I cannot fathom the whys and werefores, Your light shines steadily, beckoning me on to Truth as yet unknown, to depths of understanding as yet unguessed...
Lord Jesus, we surrender to You those of us who are brokenhearted right now. Grief, rejection, insults, illness, loneliness, death, illtreatment, abuse, crisis, lack of spiritual nurturing – all these have left us broken and bruised. Only You can heal and repair our crushed spirits now, Jesus. Lord, help us understand that broken people break others. Help us forgive the ones who break us and let us cut this chain reaction of pain. We pray that Your Spirit will touch us and make us whole. Let our lives become testimonies of Your love all over again. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are being tortured for their faith in You. Lord, let Your mercy and healing flow – into the prosecuted and the prosecutors. May the ones who harm us, know that – to know You, is to speak about You. May Your name be glorified and spread across the world every second. A special prayer for the souls of those martyred for Christian faith and for their families. May Thy church grow without boundaries, my Jesus. Amen.
