Today, we pray for those who want to return to Jesus

Lord Jesus, our Saviour, today we pray for those of us who are longing to come back to You, to the church. Lord, only You know what is stopping them – their challenges, confusions and struggles. We pray that when they return, they return with fervour and a lifelong dedication, never to go away or astray again. Bless also the ones who are standing by and waiting – the family and friends praying ceaselessly for their return. We pray that You send angels into their lives – Christian men and women who can bring them back. Help me become an...

Today, we pray for the mentally ill

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are mentally unstable. Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name we pray that they will be delivered and saved from destruction. Let schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, fear, psychosis, neurosis, depression and all kinds of mental illness be routed from our families and communities. Let these people never harm themselves or others. Let them be set free from all emotional bondages, forever. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray that we can rest in Your presence daily and fervently, before we venture into another day of rigorous struggle – directing the paths of our little ones. Grant us Your wisdom and immense grace, to glean insights into their lives, love them like You do, understand them well and guide them the right...

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, Your silent supporters on this earth. Lord, bless and honour those who clean the pews, decorate the halls for worship, do secretarial work, wash the toilets and do odd jobs behind the scenes – the cooks, sound technicians, volunteer staff, drivers, launderers, babysitters and all those who faithfully and quietly support ministries worldwide, with their effort, time and money, for Your glory. A prayer for their families too. May their rewards come from You. And frequently remind each of us that each role comes from You, so respect all jobs, all brethren. Amen.

Today, we pray over our losses

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You everything that we count as loss in our lives today. Lord, we chose to forgive ourselves and the ones who destroyed our visions. The failed interview, the broken home, the lost relationship, the thwarted plans, the insulted friendship, the shattered dreams, the destroyed ministry and many more. Lord, when You breathe life into our losses, they become precious gains once again. Help us to experience that and more importantly, recognise and thank You sincerely for that. May no child of Yours despair today over anything that he or she has lost. May we...
