Today, we pray for atheists

Lord Jesus, today we pray for those who deny the existence of You, our living God. May Your Holy Spirit convict them and bring them to repentance. We pray that every year that they have lost will be regained for Your glory, for Your kingdom. Open the eyes of their souls that they may really see You. Let us Christians be used as instruments to bring the lost back into the fold. May we never drive anyone away from You with our loveless words or actions. Keep us from losing the faith too. Amen.

Today, we pray for those who have caused us harm

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You each and every person who has broken our hearts, injured us physically or emotionally or hurt our dear ones – especially the ones who have done it behind our backs. Lord, we make a decision to forgive. Please take hold of the pieces of our shattered hearts and make them whole again. Pour forth Your Spirit and give us the healing we need so badly. Wipe our tears tonight, when we are totally alone in this pain. Amen.

Today, we pray for parents who feel abandoned

Lord Jesus, You gave us the gift of parents. There are so many children who do not see their parents as a gift, but rather as a burden. Our parents have given their whole lives and made a lot of sacrifices for their children. But today they feel unwanted and left out. We offer their pain unto You. Have mercy on them. May children one day realise their mistake and learn to love and care for their parents who deserve their love. Amen.

Today, we pray for struggling marriages

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who are struggling in our marriages. We pray that husbands and wives will truly and sincerely love, honour and cherish this special gift from You. May homes be filled with the power and grace of God and may any hurts be washed away by Your precious blood. May their children experience Your healing touch too. Bind all married couples together with the eternal cords of Your love. Amen.

Today, we pray for those lukewarm in their faith

Lord Jesus, today we surrender to You those among us who have a lukewarm relationship with You and Your people. Lord, You said that those who are neither hot nor cold would be spat out. We pray that we really begin to live out our Christian faith with love, passion, freedom and grace. May we also never become blind followers of the blind, but exercise Your wisdom and caution, when facing challenges in our faith walk. Bring Your Spirit alive in us – every day – like we have had a fresh anointing from Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
