Lord Jesus, today we bring to You the oldest members of our families and society. We pray that Your presence comforts them in their loneliness. Keep them focused on You, rather than on their aches and anxieties. We pray specially for those who are living alone. Watch over our parents and grandparents, O Jesus. May they have angels for their aid whenever they are alone. Help us serve them well all their lives. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our brothers and sisters who are mentally unstable. Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name we pray that they will be delivered and saved from destruction. Let schizophrenia, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, fear, psychosis, neurosis, depression and all kinds of mental illness be routed from our families and communities. Let these precious people never harm themselves or others. May we not judge, but only support, in whatever way we can. Let them be set free forever from all emotional bondages, forever. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You every place on earth that is facing a natural calamity right now. Son of God, who commanded the winds and the waves, please have mercy on our world. We specially pray for those affected right now by hurricanes, bad weather, power and water supply disruptions. A prayer of mercy for those who are travelling or stuck at strange places, unable to reach home and for their loved ones far away. Let Your protection keep us safe, Jesus. Amen.
Lord Jesus, today we bring to You our unanswered prayers, our broken dreams. Lord, many times, our faith has been and still is challenged by the silence from heaven. Some of us have asked and been waiting for too long or gotten no for an answer. Those moments when prayers over our dreams, death, illnesses, relationships, people problems, crisis situations, jobs, our children, marriage, finances or any calamities – have been scary because of Your silence – we now declare You the only authority and the final word over them. Lord Jesus, today we bring to You each man, woman and child seeking to find You through a retreat. We pray that those who desperately wish to attend a retreat can do so, soon. Remove the hindrances, anxieties, people and negative circumstances that are blocking their plans. We surrender each person and their desire to know You fully – at the foot of the cross. May their cries reach Your ears today and may they get the deliverance only Your Holy Spirirt can give. Amen
