Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, all Your children who are homemakers. Lord, they often do the unpaid, thankless service no one wants to do, and do it lifelong. We thank You for these wonderful women and men who choose their families and those needs before their own success and a probable career. We bless their work worn hands, Jesus. A special prayer for the mums and dads and relatives and administrators who have made our own homes and institutions true homes of selfless love. Amen.

Lord Jesus, we bring to You those who have really reached the end of their tether. We pray for those of us who want to give up on our faith, church-going, family life, relationships, work, friendships, ministry and any other task entrusted to us. Lord Jesus, today we bring to You individuals, families, churches and organisations that need a spiritual awakening. May your Spirit come into us and fill us with the gifts and fruits needed for growth. May we never slide in our faith. Let our lives shine and shine for You alone first. Amen.

Lord Jesus, on this day we bring to You leaders of our churches, countries, organisations and homes. We pray that they remain fine men and women who always listen to their conscience and have the guts to obey it, whatever may be the price. May Your Holy Spirit be with them every step of the way, building groups and people, not breaking them. Bring Your qualities of mercy, justice and honesty into their daily lifestyles. Strengthen those of us who are called to be leaders. Bless in a special way those who are following helplessly, especially an unjust regime. Amen.

Lord Jesus, we pray for everyone who is not a Christian – our brothers and sisters who are walking the journey of life beside us, loving us and helping us, but not knowing You.
