Lord Jesus, today we bring to You every place on earth that is facing a natural calamity right now. Son of God who commanded the winds and the waves, please have mercy on our world. We specially pray for those affected right now by earthquakes, hurricanes, bad weather, power and water supply disruptions. A prayer of mercy for those who are travelling or stuck at strange places, unable to reach home and for their loved ones far away. Let Your protection keep us safe, Jesus. Amen.

”என் பெயரால் தந்தையிடம் கேட்பதையெல்லாம் அவர் தருவார்” என்று இயேசு சொல்கிறார். முன்பின் தெரியாத ஒருவர் நமக்கு அறிமுகமாகிறார் என்று வைத்துக்கொள்வோம். அவருடனான நமது உறவு நமக்கு எப்படி இருக்கும்? அவரிடத்தில் ஒரு மரியாதை இருக்கும். அவருக்கும் நமக்கும் இடையே நமது உறவில் சிறிது மரியாதை இருக்கும். அதே நபரிடத்தில் நாம் நெருங்கி, நண்பர் என்ற நிலைக்கு வந்தபிறகு எப்படி இருப்போம்? அந்த இடைவெளி குறைந்திருக்கும். மரியாதையுடன் அன்பும், நட்பும் பிணைந்திருக்கும். எதையும் அவரிடத்தில் கேட்பதற்கோ, பேசுவதற்கோ நமக்கு கூச்சம் இருக்காது. கடவுளுடன், அப்படி ஒரு உறவுநிலைக்கு இயேசு நமக்கு அழைப்புவிடுக்கிறார். கடவுளைப்பார்த்து நாம் பயப்படத்தேவையில்லை. கடவுளை தந்தையாக, உற்ற நண்பராக நாம் பார்க்க வேண்டும். அந்த அன்பை நாம் உணர வேண்டும். அப்படி உணர்கிறபோது, நாம் வெளிப்படையாக இருப்பதற்கு கற்றுக்கொள்கிறோம். அவரிடத்தில் நம்மை ஒரு திறந்த புத்தகமாக காட்டுகிறோம். நமக்குத் தேவையானவற்றை நாம் கேட்கிறோம். நமக்கு அது கிடைக்குமா? கிடைக்காதா?...

Lord Jesus, today we bring to you each and every human being who has been hurt by the Catholic Church, the religious, church leaders and church members. Lord, we ask your forgiveness for the many ways in which we have not lived, spoken, acted or thought in Your love and light. We pray especially for the ones who have inflicted pain too deep to undo or committed hidden sins, and for the many who are still deeply suffering because of them.
