இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வாசகம் (மாற்கு 8: 14-21) இயேசுவின் வாழ்வில் நடைபெற்ற ஒரு சிறிய, ஆனால் சுவையான நிகழ்வைச் சொல்கிறது. மாற்கு நற்செய்தியாளருக்கே உரிய தனித்தன்மைகளுள் ஒன்று இத்தகைய சிறு, சிறு தனித்தன்மை வாய்ந்த செய்திகளைப் பதிவு செய்திருப்பது. படகிலே பயணம் செய்துகொண்டிருக்கும்போதுதான் சீடர்களுக்கு நினைவு வருகிறது தேவையான அப்பங்களை எடுத்துச்செல்ல மறந்துவிட்டார்கள் என்று. படகில் அவர்களிடம் ஒரேயொரு அப்பம் மட்;டுமே இருந்தது. அந்த ஒரு அப்பத்தைக் கொண்டு எத்தனை பேருக்கும் உணவளிக்கும் ஆற்றல் மிக்க ஆண்டவர் தம்முடன் இருந்ததை அவர்கள் மறந்துவிட்டார்கள் என்பதையும் மாற்கு இயேசுவின் வாய்மொழி வழியாகப் பதிவு செய்துள்ளார். இந்த நிகழ்வு இரண்டு பாடங்களைக் கற்றுத் தருகிறது: 1. நம்மிடம் என்ன இருக்கிறது என்று பார்க்காமல், என்ன இல்லை என்றே நாம் கவலைப்பட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கலாம். அது தவறு. பிறரோடு நம்மை ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்த்து, நம்மிடம் “அது இல்லை, இது இல்லை” என்று நாம் புலம்பிக்கொண்டிருக்கலாம். “இது இருக்கிறதே” என்று...

இன்றைய நற்செய்தியில் (மாற்கு 8: 11-13) இரண்டு விதமான மனநிலையைப் பார்க்கிறோம். 1. இயேசுவின் மனநிலை 2. பரிசேயரின் மனநிலை. இயேசுவுக்கு நிச்சயமாக வானிலிருந்து அடையாளம் தோன்றச்செய்வது ஒன்றும் கடினமான காரியமல்ல. அவர் நினைத்திருந்தால், எதையும் அவரால் செய்திருக்க முடியும். இதே சோதனை, அவர் பாலைவனத்திலே நாற்பது நாட்கள் நோன்பிருந்து செபிக்கிறபோதும் ஏற்படுகிறது. அப்போதும் அலகையின் சோதனைக்கு இடங்கொடுத்து அருங்குறிகளைச் செய்யவில்லை. இப்போது பரிசேயர்களும் இயேசுவைச் சோதிக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், இயேசு அதனை நிராகரிக்கிறார். இயேசுவின் வல்லமை தன்னை, தன்னுடைய பலத்தை மற்றவர்களுக்குக் காட்டுவதற்காக அல்ல. மாறாக, இறையரசைக் கட்டி எழுப்புவதற்காக. இறைவனை மாட்சிமைப்படுத்துவதற்காக. எக்காரணத்திற்காகவும், அதனை தனது சுயவிளம்பரத்திற்கு இயேசு பயன்படுத்த விரும்பவில்லை. பரிசேயர்கள் இயேசுவின் புதுமை செய்யும் ஆற்றலை தெரியாதவர்கள் அல்ல. இயேசுவின் அறிவின் ஆழத்தைக் கண்டு அதிசயிக்காதவர்கள் அல்ல. இயேசு தச்சர் மகன் என்றாலும், அவரிடத்திலே தங்கள் அறிவுத்திறமை செல்லாது, என்பதை உணராதவர்கள் அல்ல. இயேசு செய்த அனைத்துப்புதுமைகளும்...
