திருத்தூதர் மத்தேயு திருவிழா பின்பற்றியவர் பிரபலமானார் மத்தேயு 9:9-13 இறையேசுவில் இனியவா்களே! திருத்தூதர் மத்தேயு திருவிழா திருப்பலிக்கு நம்பிக்கையோடும் ஆர்வத்தோடும் வந்திருக்கின்ற உங்கள் அனைவரையும் அன்போடு வரவேற்கின்றேன். இந்த நாள் உங்களுக்கு இனிய நாளாக இருக்கவும், நீங்கள் நல்ல உடல்நலத்துடன் வாழவும், உங்கள் வாழ்க்கை ஆசீர்வாதமாக அமையவும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறேன். ஆண்டவரிடம் மன்றாடுகிறேன். மத்தேயு என்ற பெயரின் பொருள் “யாவேயின் பரிசு” என்பதாகும். அல்பேயுவின் மகனான மத்தேயு, உரோமை ஆளுகையில் இருந்த யூதேயாவின் கலிலேயா பகுதியில் பிறந்தவர். உரோமையரின் ஆளுகையின் கீழ், யூதேய குறுநில மன்னன் ஏரோது அந்திபாசுக்காக கப்பர்நாகும் சுங்கச்சாவடியில் வரி வசூலிப்பவராக மத்தேயு பணியாற்றினார். கிரேக்க, அரமேய மொழிகளில் மத்தேயு தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருந்தார். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைத் தொடக்கம் முதலே பின்பற்றிய சீடர்களுள் மத்தேயுவும் ஒருவர். புதிய ஏற்பாட்டின்படி, இயேசுவின் உயிப்புக்கும், விண்ணேற்றத்துக்கும் மத்தேயுவும் ஒரு சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறார். ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவை பின்பற்றுகிற ஒவ்வொருவரும் மிகவும் பிரபலமாக மாறுவார்கள் என்பது...
