திருப்பாடல் 23: 1 – 2, 2 – 3, 5 – 6 உலகத்தில் வாழ்கிற மனிதர்கள் அனைவருமே நீண்ட நாட்கள் வாழ வேண்டும் என்று ஆவல் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். அதனுடைய வெளிப்பாடு தான், மருத்துவத்துறை மற்றும் அறிவியலின் அசுர வளர்ச்சி. நாம் நீண்ட நாட்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியோடு வாழ்வதற்கான எளிய முறையை திருப்பாடல் ஆசிரியர் நமக்குத் தருகிறார். அதாவது, ஆண்டவர் நம்முடைய ஆயராக இருக்கிறபோது, நாம் நீண்டநாட்கள் நிச்சயம் மகிழ்ச்சியோடு, நிறைவோடு வாழ முடியும் என்பது, ஆசிரியரின் நம்பிக்கையாக இருக்கிறது. எப்படி நாம் நீண்ட நாட்கள் வாழ முடியும்? நமக்கு எதிரிகள் இருக்கமாட்டார்களா? நமக்கு நோய், நொடிகள் வராதா? நம்மை எதிர்க்கிறவர்கள் இருக்க மாட்டார்களா? எதிர்ப்புக்கள் அனைத்துமே இருக்கும். ஆனால், ஆண்டவர் நம் சார்பில் இருந்து செயலாற்றுவார். ஆண்டவரை நம் ஆயராக ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறபோது, இறைவன் நம்மை நலன்களால் நிரப்புகிறார். நம்முடைய பாத்திரம் நிரம்பி வழிகிற அளவுக்கு, கடவுள் நமக்கு ஆசீர்வாதங்களைத் தருகிறார்....

லூக்கா 20:27-40 இறையேசுவில் இனியவா்களே! நம்பிக்கையோடும் ஆர்வத்தோடும் திருப்பலிக்கு வந்திருக்கின்ற உங்கள் அனைவரையும் அன்போடு வரவேற்கின்றேன். இந்த நாள் உங்களுக்கு இனிய நாளாக இருக்கவும், நீங்கள் நல்ல உடல்நலத்துடன் வாழவும், உங்கள் வாழ்க்கை ஆசீர்வாதமாக அமையவும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறேன். ஆண்டவரிடம் மன்றாடுகிறேன். அனைவருக்கும் இந்த உலகை விட்டு செல்ல கூடாது, இளமைக் குறையாமல் பல ஆண்டுகள் இந்த உலகில் வாழ வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை உண்டு. அந்த ஆசையை யாரும் பெற முடியாது. பிறந்த அனைவரும் இறந்தே ஆக வேண்டும். ஆனால் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியான செய்தி என்னவென்றால் இறந்த அனைவரும் கிறிஸ்துவோடு ஒருநாள் உயிர்ப்போம் என்பதுதான். கிறிஸ்துவோடு உயிர்த்தெழ வேண்டுமென்றால் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கேற்ற இரண்டு காரியங்களை செய்ய வேண்டும் என சொல்கிறது இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வாசகம். கேட்போம். செய்வோம். உயிர்த்தெழுவோம். 1. முழுமைக்கு கொண்டு வா எந்த செயல் செய்தாலும் முழு அன்போடும் முழு மனத்தோடும் முழு ஆற்றலோடும் முழு அறிவோடும் செய்ய...

Then you meet an angel, a gigantic angel who stands “on the sea and on the land” (Rv 10:8). This angel commands you to eat a little book (Rv 10:9).
