Lord Jesus, on this day we bring to You each one of us and our brothers and sisters who are marking new beginnings. We pray that all of us are blessed mightily with breakthroughs – in our spiritual walk, family life, ministries, relationships, finances, careers, health, answers to long lost prayers and anything we may need it for – in life. We pray that fresh starts and mighty favour would come, timely and overwhelming, as we are at the next bends in our roads. Amen.

அன்பு என்கிற வார்த்தைக்கான விளக்கத்தை இன்றைய வாசகம் நமக்குத்தருகிறது. நான் ஒருவரை அன்பு செய்கிறேன் என்பதை, ஒரு மனிதன் பலவிதமான பண்புகள் மூலமாக வெளிப்படுத்துகிறான். மொத்த பண்புகளின் ஒட்டுமொத்த தொகுப்பே அன்பு என்றால், அது மிகையல்ல. இத்தகைய அன்பின் பலவிதமான பரிமாணங்களை இன்றைய நாளில் நாம் சிந்திப்போம். பொதுநலம், புரிதல், தியாகம் மற்றும் மன்னிப்பு இணைந்த ஒரு கலவை தான் அன்பு. இன்னும் இதற்குள் ஏராளமான பண்புகளை நாம் உள்ளடக்க முடியும். அன்பை வெளிப்படுத்தக்கூடிய காரணிகளாக இவை விளங்குகிறது. இயேசு தன்னுடைய சீடர்களை அன்பு செய்கிறேன் என்பதை, இதன் மூலமாகத்தான் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். இயேசுவின் வாழ்வில் பொதுநலம் மிகுந்திருந்தது. தன்னுடைய சீடர்கள் தவறு செய்தாலும், அதனை மிகைப்படுத்தாமல் புரிந்து கொள்கிறார். அவர்களை அவர் தீர்ப்பிடவில்லை. அவர்களுக்காக, மக்களுக்காக தன்னையே தியாகம் செய்கிறார். சீடர்கள் தவறு செய்தாலும் அவர்களை மன்னித்து ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார். இவ்வாறு இயேசு சீடர்கள் மட்டிலான தனது அன்பை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். அன்பு என்பது...

“I give you a new commandment.” –John 13:34 The Lord makes all things new (Rv 21:5). We will see “new heavens and a new earth” (Rv 21:1). We will see “a new Jerusalem” (Rv 21:2).
