”இதிலிருந்து நீர் கடவுளிடமிருந்து வந்தவர் என்பதை நம்புகிறோம்” என்று சீடர்கள் இயேசுவிடத்தில் சொல்கிறார்கள். இதுவரை இயேசுவை நம்பாதவர்கள் எப்படி திடீரென ”நம்புகிறோம்” என்று பதில் சொல்கிறார்கள் என்பது நமக்கு சற்று வியப்பாக இருக்கிறது. எதனால் சீடர்கள் இயேசுவை நம்பினர்? என்ற கேள்வியும் நமக்குள்ளாக எழுகிறது. யோவான் நற்செய்தி 16: 16 மற்றும் 17வது இறைவார்த்தைகளில் சீடர்கள் குழம்பிப்போயிருப்பதை நாம் வாசிக்கிறோம். ”அவர் பேசுவது நமக்குப்புரியவில்லையே” என்றும் தங்களிடையே பேசிக்கொள்கின்றனர். ஆனால், 19 வது இறைவார்த்தையில், இயேசு ”இன்னும் சிறிது காலத்தில் நீங்கள் என்னைக் காணமாட்டீர்கள். மீண்டும் சிறிதுகாலத்தில் என்னைக் காண்பீர்கள் என்று நான் சொன்னதைப்பற்றி உங்களிடையே சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்” என்று, அவர்கள் உள்ளத்தில் எண்ணியதை வெளிப்படையாக இயேசு சொன்னபோது, அவருடைய உள்ளத்தையும் ஊடுருவி அறியும் சிந்தனையைப்பார்த்தவுடன், இயேசுவிடத்தில் அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கை உறுதியாகிவிட்டது. இயேசுவிடத்தில் நாம் நம்பிக்கை கொள்வதற்கு பல விசுவாசத்தின் சாட்சியங்கள் நம்மிடையே இருக்கிறது. ஆண்டவரின் வார்த்தை, சாட்சிய வாழ்வு வாழும் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்,...

இயேசுவின் விண்ணேற்புப் பெருவிழாவில் நமது சிந்தனைகள் என்ன? திருச்சபையின் தலையான இயேசு விண்ணகம் சென்றதால், அவரது உடலாகிய திருச்சபையும் விண்ணகத்தையே இலக்காகக் கொண்டு பயணம் செய்ய வேண்டும். “நமக்கோ விண்ணகமே தாய்நாடு” என்னும் பவுலடியாரின் சொற்களை நமதாக்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். நமது எண்ணங்களும், சொற்களும், வாழ்வும் விண்ணகம் சார்ந்ததாக அமைய வேண்டும். மண்ணக ஆசைகள், ஏக்கங்கள், தேவைகளுக்கு நாம் முன்னுரிமை கொடுக்காமல், விண்ணகம் சார்ந்தவற்றுக்கே முதலிடம் வழங்கவேண்டும். #8220;முதலில் இறையாட்சியைத் தேடுங்கள், மற்ற அனைத்தும் உங்களுக்குச் சேர்த்துக் கொடுக்கப்படும்” என்னும் அருள்நாதரின் சொற்களை நினைவில் கொள்வோம். இறைப் பற்று, இறையச்சம், விண்ணகம், நரகம் (இறைவனைப் பிரிந்து வாழும் நிலை) என்னும் மதிப்பீடுகளில் நமது நம்பிக்கையை அதிகரித்துக்கொள்வோம். இறுதிக் காலம் பற்றிய நமது எண்ணங்கள் கூர்மைப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். ‘விண்ணகம் என்ற ஒன்று உண்டு, அதற்கு நம்மைத் தகுதியாக்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்’ என்னும் சிந்தனையை இன்றைய இளைய தலைமுறையினரிடம் விதைப்போமாக! மன்றாடுவோம்: விண்ணகம் சென்று...
