Lord Jesus, today we bring to You, the Fountain of all Holiness – a desire for our purification. Cleanse us of all iniquity; keep our souls holy, our minds clean and our bodies chaste. When evil tries to taunt and entice us with sin, keep us protected. Let today be the beginning of our sanctification. Create in us clean hearts and seal our senses with Your Precious Blood. May we be ready to receive You, the babe in the manger, all over again, with all the true honour You deserve. Amen.

சிலுவை எப்படி ஒருவருக்கு மகிமையை தர முடியும்? துன்பம் எப்படி ஒருவருக்கு மாட்சிமையாக இருக்க முடியும்? தோல்வி எப்படி ஒருவருக்கு மணிமகுடமாக மாற முடியும்? இந்த கேள்விகள் அனைத்துமே இயேசுவின் வாழ்வை நாம் பார்க்கிறபோது, படிக்கிறபோது ஏற்படக்கூடியவை. ஆனால் அப்படித்தான் நடந்திருக்கிறது. சிலுவை மகிமையாக இருந்திருக்கிறது. துன்பம் மாட்சியைத் தந்திருக்கிறது. தோல்வி மணிமகுடமாக மாறியிருக்கிறது. இத்தனை கேள்விகளுக்கும் ஒரே பதில் தான். அதுதான் கீழ்ப்படிதல். கீழ்ப்படிதல் வாயிலாக நாம் சிலுவையை மகிமையாக மாற்ற முடியும். துன்பத்தை மாட்சிமையாக கொடுக்க முடியும். தோல்வியை மணிமகுடமாக மாற்ற முடியும். அதுதான் இயேசுவின் வாழ்வு நமக்கு கற்றுத்தரும் பாடமாக அமைகிறது. கடவுளை மாட்சிமைப்படுத்துவதை நமது கீழ்ப்படிதல் வாயிலாக செய்ய முடியும்.கடவுள் மனிதர்களைப் படைத்தது தன்னை மாட்சிமைப்படுத்துவதற்காக. ஆனால், கீழ்ப்படியாமையால் மனிதன் தவறு செய்கிறான். கடவுளை புறந்தள்ளுகிறான். பிள்ளைகள் தங்கள் பெற்றோருக்கு புகழ் சேர்க்கிறார்கள். எப்போது? தங்கள் பெற்றோருடைய வார்த்தைகளுக்கு பணிந்து நடக்கிறபோது. இயேசு சிலுவையை தோல்வி...

Lord Jesus, we surrender to You singles who are longing to have a life partner. You alone know the desires of our hearts, our endless prayers and deepest aches. We pray that miracles of the kind that led Ruth to Boaz and Tobias to Sara, will take place in our lives too, so that we and our dear ones may see that and glorify Your name.
