மக்கள் எல்லாரும் உம்மைப் போற்றுவார்களாக! கடவுள் நமக்கு ஆசி வழங்குவாராக! கடவுளுடைய அரசு பெரிதாக வேண்டும், உலகின் அனைத்து மக்களும் கடவுளைப் போற்றிப் புகழ வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை இன்றைய திருப்பாடலின் வரிகள் ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் மிளிர்வதை நம்மால் உணர முடியும். பின்னால் நடக்க இருப்பவற்றை, முன்பே ஆய்ந்து உணர்ந்து சொல்கிற இறைவாக்கின் ஒரு பரிமாணமாக வெளிப்படுவதுதான் இந்த திருப்பாடல். உண்மையான மகிழ்ச்சி நமக்கு கடவுளின் இரக்கத்தில் தான் இருக்கிறது என்பதோடு, இந்த திருப்பாடல் தொடங்குகிறது. எனவே, பாவிகளாகிய இருக்கிற நம் அனைவருக்கும் கடவுளின் இரக்கம் வேண்டும். இதன் மூலம் உண்மையான மகிழ்ச்சியை நாம் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியும் என்கிற தன்சிந்தனை தான் முதல் வார்த்தை. தனக்கானதோடு இந்த தேடல் நின்றுவிடாமல், இந்த உலகத்தில் இருக்கிற அனைவரும் இந்த மகிழ்ச்சியைப் பெற வேண்டும் என்கிற பரந்துபட்ட எண்ணம், நமக்கு ஆச்சரியத்தைத் தருகிறது. நான் மட்டும் தான் வாழ வேண்டும் என்று எண்ணுகிற உலகத்தில், நானும்...

மனிதர்கள் சாதாரணமானவர்கள் அல்ல. அவர்கள் படைப்பின் உயர்ந்த சிகரம். இன்று மனிதர்களையும் சாதாரண படைப்பாக நாம் நினைத்துவிட முடியாது. காரணம், அவர்கள் கடவுளின் அன்பினின்று படைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். அதற்கும் மேலாக, கடவுளே மனிதர்களில் ஒருவராக பிறந்து, இந்த மனிதத்தை உயர்ந்த நிலைக்கு கொண்டு சென்றிருக்கிறார். இன்றைய வாசகம், மனிதத்தின் புனிதத்தன்மையை நமக்கு பறைசாற்றுவதாக அமைந்திருக்கிறது. இன்றைக்கு வாழ்வை வாழக்கூடிய மனிதர்கள் ஏனோ தானோவென்று வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு இந்த மானுட வாழ்வின் முக்கியத்துவம் தெரிவதாக இல்லை. எனவே தான், கொலை, தற்கொலை என்று, மனிதத்திற்கு எதிரான செயல்பாடுகள் அதிகரித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. மனிதம் என்பது போற்றுதற்குரியது. மனிதம் என்பது உயர்ந்த மதிப்பீடுகளைக்கொண்டு வாழப்பட வேண்டியது. அத்தகைய மனித வாழ்வை நாம் வாழ்வதற்கு நாம் அனைவரும் முயற்சி செய்ய வேண்டும். மனிதத்தின் புனிதத்தன்மையை நாம் உணர்வதற்கு ஒவ்வொருநாளும் முயற்சி எடுக்க வேண்டும். கடவுள் இந்த மனித உருவத்தை எடுத்து, இதற்கு மகிமை சேர்த்திருக்கிறார். இதனுடைய புனிதத்தன்மையை வாழ்ந்துகாட்டியிருக்கிறார்....
