ஆண்டவரே இரக்கமாயிரும். ஏனெனில் நாங்கள் பாவம் செய்தோம்

இரக்கத்தின் பரிமாணங்களாக நாம் பலவற்றைப் பார்க்கலாம். அந்த இரக்கத்தின் பரிமாணங்களும் முக்கியமான ஒன்று மன்னிப்பு. அந்த மன்னிப்பு பற்றிதான் இந்த திருப்பாடல் நமக்குக் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கிறது. பொதுவாக, நாம் கடவுளிடத்தில் செபிக்க வருகிறபோது, நமது மனநிலை எப்படிப்பட்ட மனநிலையாக இருக்கிறது? ஒருபோதும் மன்னிப்பிற்காக நாம் செபிப்பது கிடையாது. கடவுளின் இரக்கத்தைப் பெறுவதற்காக மன்றாடுவது கிடையாது. நம்முடைய தேவைகளை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காகத்தான் கடவுளிடம் செபிக்கிறோம், கடவுளைப் புகழ்கிறோம். ஆக, தேவையை நிறைவேற்றுவது தான், நமது செபத்தின் மையக்கருத்தாக இருக்கிறது. ஆனால், இறைவனின் மன்னிப்பைப் பெறுவதற்கும் நாம் செபிக்க வேண்டும். அதனையும் நாம் கற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்பதை, இந்த திருப்பாடல் அழகாக எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறது. இந்த திருப்பாடலை(திருப்பாடல் 51: 1 – 2, 3 – 4, 10 – 11, 12, 150)  “மன்னிப்பின் பாடல்“ என்று நாம் சொல்லலாம். கடவுளின் மன்னிப்பிற்காக, கடவுளின் அருளுக்காக, தாவீது கதறிய பாடல் தான் இந்த திருப்பாடல். இந்த திருப்பாடல்...
