யூதர்களுக்கு அஞ்சி சீடர்கள் தாங்கள் இருந்த இடத்தின் கதவுகளை மூடிவைத்திருந்தனர். சீடர்கள் தங்கியிருந்த அறை, இயேசுவோடு கடைசி இரவு உணவு உண்ட அறையாக இருக்கலாம். அவர்கள் இருந்தது மேல் அறை. யூதர்களின் கோபம், வெறுப்பு முதலானவை சீடர்களுக்கு நன்றாகத்தெரியும். இயேசுவை ஒழித்தாயிற்று. இனி எப்படியும், அடுத்த இலக்கு தாங்கள்தான் என்பது அவர்களுக்கு நன்றாகத்தெரியும். எந்தநேரமும் தலைமைச்சங்க காவலர்கள் வந்து தங்களை கைது செய்யலாம் என்று நினைத்தனர். எனவே, மேலறையிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு கேட்கும் ஒவ்வொரு சத்தமும், அவர்களின் இருதயத்தை கலங்கடித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தன. இப்படிப்பட்ட சூழ்நிலையில் தான் உயிர்த்த இயேசு அவர்களுக்குத் தோன்றுகிறார். உயிர்த்த இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு சொல்லும் செய்தி: உங்களுக்கு அமைதி உண்டாகுக!. கலங்கிப்போயிருந்த சீடர்களின் கலக்கத்தை இயேசு அறியாதவரல்ல. அவர்களின் வேதனையை இயேசு உணராதவர் அல்ல. அவருக்கு சாவின் பயம் நன்றாகத்தெரியும். ஏனென்றால், சாவை எதிர்நோக்கியிருந்த அவரே, கெத்சமெனி தோட்டத்தில், திகிலும் மனக்கலக்கமும் அடைந்திருந்தார். ‘எனது உள்ளம் சாவு வருமளவுக்கு ஆழ்துயரம் கொண்டுள்ளது’...

இயேசு முதன் முதலாக ஒரு பெண்ணிற்கு உயிர்த்த பிறகு தோன்றுகிறார். யூத சமுதாயம் ஓர் ஆணாதிக்கம் கொண்ட சமுதாயம் என்பது நமக்கு நன்றாகத் தெரியும். பெண்களை ஒரு பொருட்டாக மதிக்காத சமுதாயம். இயேசுவும் இந்த சமுதாயத்தில் பிறந்தவர் தான். ஆனாலும், பெண்களைப்பற்றிய இயேசுவின் பார்வை வேறுபாடுள்ளதாக இருக்கிறது. தான் வாழ்ந்தபோதே, பெண்களை மிகுந்த மதிப்போடு நடத்தியவர் இயேசுகிறிஸ்து. அவருடைய பார்வையில் ஆண், பெண் வேறுபாடு இல்லை. அனைவரும் கடவுளின் பிள்ளைகள். அனைவரும் கடவுளால் படைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். எனவேதான், தனது தாயை அதிகமாக அவர் நேசித்தார். இயேசுவின் இந்த பார்வை பெண்களைப்பற்றிய உயர்ந்த பார்வை பார்ப்பதற்கு வழிகாட்டுகிறது. இயேசு வாழ்ந்தபோதும் சரி, இன்றைக்கு நற்செய்தியில் நாம் பார்ப்பது போல இறந்து உயிர்த்த பிறகும் பெண்ணுக்கு முன்னுரிமை கொடுக்கிறார். அன்புக்கு நாம் உதாரணமாக தாயைத்தான் சொல்கிறோம். எந்தச்சூழ்நிலையிலும், தனது பிள்ளையை விட்டுக்கொடுக்காதவர் நிச்சயம் நமது அன்னைதான். பெண்களை நாம் மதிக்கவும், அவர்களை மாண்போடு நடத்தவும் இயேசுவின்...
