இயேசுவின் சதை என்பது அவரது மனிதத்தன்மையை பறைசாற்றுவதாக இருக்கிறது. யோவான் தனது முதல் திருமுகத்தில் இதை தெளிவாக விளக்குகிறார். ”இயேசு கிறிஸ்து மனிதராக வந்தவர் என்னும் உண்மையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும் தூண்டுதல் அனைத்தும் கடவுளிடமிருந்து வருவது. இவ்வாறு கடவுளிடமிருந்து வரும் தூண்டுதல் எதுவென அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள். இயேசுவை ஏற்று அறிக்கையிட மறுக்கும் தூண்டுதல் எதுவும் கடவுளிடமிருந்து வருவதல்ல. இதுவே எதிர்க்கிறிஸ்துவிடமிருந்து வரும் தூண்டுதல்”. யோவான் இயேசு நம்மில் ஒருவர் என்கிற செய்திக்கு அழுத்தம் தருகிறார். இயேசுவில் கடவுளை நாம் அறிகிறோம். இதுநாள்வரை கடவுள் எப்படி இருப்பார் என்பது நமக்குத் தெரியாது. ஆனால், இயேசுவில் நாம் கடவுளை கண்கூடாக பார்க்கிறோம். நமது வாழ்க்கைச்சூழலில் துன்பங்கள், வறுமை, நஷ்டங்கள், பலவீனங்கள், போராட்டங்கள் இயல்பாக வருவதுண்டு. அந்த நேரத்தில் நாம் இயேசுவை நினைத்துப்பார்க்க வேண்டும். அவர் நமது சுமைகளை தாங்கியிருப்பதை எண்ண வேண்டும். அவர் நமக்காகத்தான் இந்த உடலை எடுத்தார். நமக்காக தன்னையே அவர் கையளித்தார். நமக்காக...

கடவுள்தாமே அனைவருக்கும் கற்றுத் தருவார்” என்னும் இறைவாக்கை இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வாசகத்தில்(+யோவான் எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 6: 44-51) இயேசு மேற்கோள் காட்டுகிறார். நாமும் இந்த வசனத்தையே இன்று தியானிப்போம். ஆபிரகாம் தன் ஒரே மகன் ஈசாக்கைப் பலியிட மலையுச்சிக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றபோது, சிறுவன் ஈசாக் தன் தந்தையிடம் கேட்ட கேள்வி: பலிப்பொருள் எங்கே?”. அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம் அளித்த பதில்: கடவுள்தாமே தருவார்”. கடைசியில், கடவுளே ஒரு செம்மறி ஆட்டைப் பலிப்பொருளாக அளித்தார் என்பதை நாம் அறிவோம். நாம் நடக்க வேண்டிய பாதையைக் கடவுளே நமக்குக் காட்டுவார். நாம் பேச வேண்டிய சொற்களைக் கடவுளே நமக்குச் சொல்லித் தருவார். நாம் வாழ்வில் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டிய மதிப்பீடுகளைக் கடவுளே நமக்குக் கற்றுத் தருவார். இதுவே நமது நம்பிக்கை. இதுவே நமது பட்டறிவு. எனவே, கடவுளைச் சார்ந்தே வாழ்வோம். அவரே நம்மை வழிநடத்துவார். மன்றாடுவோம்: வழியும், ஒளியும், உண்மையுமான இயேசுவே, நாங்கள் உம்மைப் புகழ்ந்து...
