“என் தந்தை வாழும் இடத்தில் உறைவிடங்கள் பல உள்ளன” என்று இயேசு சொல்கிறார். தந்தை வாழும் இடம் என்று இயேசு சொல்வது விண்ணகம் பற்றியது. ஆனால், இங்கே நமக்குள்ளாக எழுகிற கேள்வி உறைவிடங்கள் பற்றியது. விண்ணகத்தில் இருக்கிற உறைவிடங்கள் என்றால் என்ன பொருள்? விண்ணகத்தில் பல உறைவிடங்கள் இருக்கிறதா? இயேசு ‘உறைவிடங்கள்’ என்று கூறுவதன் பொருள் என்ன? ‘உறைவிடங்கள்’ என்ற வார்த்தைக்கு மூன்று அர்த்தங்களை நாம் கொடுக்கலாம். அருள்நிலையின் பலபடிநிலைகளை இது விளக்குவதாக இருக்கிறது. மக்களின் வாழ்வுமுறைக்கேற்றபடி விண்ணக வாழ்வின் பலநிலைகளைக்குறிப்பது முதல் பொருளாகும். இரண்டாவது பொருள் விண்ணக வாழ்விற்கு தகுதிபெறக்கூடிய பல நிலைகளைக்குறிக்கிறது. ஒருவர் அவரது செயல்களின்படி மதிப்பிடப்பட்டாலும், அவரிடத்தில் இருக்கும் குற்றம், குறைகளுக்கேற்ப அவர் விண்ணகத்தின் உயரிய நிலையை சிறிது சிறிதாக அடைவார் என்பதின் பொருள்தான் இது. இறுதியாக, விண்ணகத்தில் அனைவருக்கும் இடமிருக்கிறது என்பதும் இதனுடைய பொருளாக இருக்க முடியும். எது எப்படி இருந்தாலும், இந்த உலகம் நிலையில்லாதது,...
