லூக்கா 21:34-36 இறையேசுவில் இனியவா்களே! நம்பிக்கையோடும் ஆர்வத்தோடும் திருப்பலிக்கு வந்திருக்கின்ற உங்கள் அனைவரையும் அன்போடு வரவேற்கின்றேன். இந்த நாள் உங்களுக்கு இனிய நாளாக இருக்கவும், நீங்கள் நல்ல உடல்நலத்துடன் வாழவும், உங்கள் வாழ்க்கை ஆசீர்வாதமாக அமையவும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறேன். ஆண்டவரிடம் மன்றாடுகிறேன். ஆண்டின் கடைசிமாதம் டிசம்பர். இந்த மாதம் நல்ல குளுகுளு மாதம். மானிடமகன் வரும் நாளில் எப்படியெல்லாம் இருக்க கூடாது என்பதே இம்மாதத்தின் முக்கிய அறிவிப்பு. மிகச் சிறந்த தயாரிப்பு செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பதே இன்றைய நற்செய்தியின் மையமாகும். இரண்டு விதங்களில் நாம் இருக்க கூடாது. 1. குடிவெறி தமிழ்நாடு குடியினால் தள்ளாடுகிறது. எல்லா ஊர்களிலும் மது கடைகளை அரசு திறந்து வைத்திருக்கிறது. குடிப்போரின் எண்ணிக்கை கூடிக்கொண்டே வருகிறது. மிகவும் மோசமாக படிப்பவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகரித்து வருகிறது. குடியினால் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிற தீமைகள் அதிகம். குடிநோயாளிகள் மனநோளிகளாக நடமாடுகின்றனர். இது சமூக சீர்கேட்டிற்கு காரணமாக அமைகின்றது. அன்புமிக்கவர்களே! குடிவெறியிலிருந்து வெளியே வர...

[Jesus] said to them, ‘Come after Me and I will make you fishers of men.’ ” –Matthew 4:18-19 The first calling Jesus gave His disciples was to be “fishers of men.” To Jesus’ first four disciples, the term “fishers of men” meant that: Jesus wanted to use their work experience to build His kingdom. அந்திரேயா – ஆண்டவர் பக்கமே! மத்தேயு 4:18-22 இறையேசுவில் இனியவா்களே! நம்பிக்கையோடும் ஆர்வத்தோடும் திருத்தூதரான தூய அந்திரேயா பெருவிழா திருப்பலிக்கு வந்திருக்கின்ற உங்கள் அனைவரையும் அன்போடு வரவேற்கின்றேன். இந்த நாள் உங்களுக்கு இனிய நாளாக இருக்கவும், நீங்கள் நல்ல உடல்நலத்துடன் வாழவும், உங்கள் வாழ்க்கை ஆசீர்வாதமாக அமையவும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறேன். ஆண்டவரிடம் மன்றாடுகிறேன். அந்திரேயா பெத்சாய்தாவைக் சார்ந்தவர்; பேதுருவின் சகோதரர். மீன்பிடித் தொழிலை செய்துகொண்டிருந்தவர். விவிலிய அறிஞர்களின் கூற்றுப்படி அந்திரேயா தொடக்கத்தில் திருமுழுக்கு யோவானின் சீடராக இருந்தவர். ஒருநாள் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு வழியோரமாக சென்றுகொண்டிருக்கும்போது திருமுழுக்கு யோவான் தன்னுடைய சீடர்களிடம் (அந்திரேயா அங்கு இருந்தார்), “இதோ கடவுளின் ஆட்டுக்குட்டி” என்று இயேசுவை சுட்டிக்காட்டினார். உடனே அந்திரேயா இயேசுவிடம், “ரபி, நீர் எங்கே தங்கியிருக்கிறீர்?” என்று கேட்க, அவர் “வந்து பாரும்” என்று சொன்னார். அந்திரேயா ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவோடு தங்கி இறையனுபவம் பெற்றார். அந்த அனுபவத்தை தன்னுடைய சகோதரரான பேதுருவிடம் எடுத்துச் சொல்லி...

“When you see Jerusalem encircled by soldiers, know that its devastation is near.” –Luke 21:20 Jesus said that Jerusalem would be destroyed. Since Jerusalem was a city specially chosen in God’s plan of salvation, Jesus’ prediction seemed impossible. Less than forty years later, in 70 A.D., Jesus’ prophecy was fulfilled. John, in the book of Revelation, prophesied that the Roman empire, symbolized by Babylon, would fall (Rv 18:2). This most stable of empires fell.
